Racked, labeled, powered, cooled, and documented — so the room nobody thinks about stays the room nobody has to think about. We build server rooms and network closets, and we're the ones who still have to work in them afterward.
Most server rooms weren't built. They accumulated.
Ten years of good intentions stacked on one wall. A switch on a shelf. A UPS under the desk that hasn't had a battery test since it was bought. Patch cables run point-to-point across the rack because it was faster that day, and now nobody can trace a single drop without unplugging it to see what goes dark.
None of that is a crisis. It's a tax. Every change takes twice as long, every outage takes longer to isolate, and the one person who understood the room is usually the person who left.
Then there's the part that does become a crisis: a closet with no airflow and a space heater's worth of equipment in it, or a single circuit carrying a server, a switch, and the break-room microwave.
What a buildout actually includes.
Rack and enclosure
Open two-post, four-post, or a locking wall-mount cabinet, sized to what you have plus what you will add. Floor-mounted racks anchored, wall units mounted into structure, not drywall anchors.
Power
Rack-mounted PDUs, a correctly sized UPS with runtime matched to what actually needs to stay up, and a clear conversation with your electrician about circuits and load before anything is installed.
Cooling and airflow
Front-to-back airflow, blanking panels, and an honest assessment of the room's heat load. If a closet needs dedicated cooling or a vent, we'll say so before we fill it with equipment.
Patch panels and cable management
Drops terminated to panels, tested, and labeled. Vertical and horizontal managers, service loops, and patch cables cut to length — not a bundle of seven-footers doing three feet of work.
Equipment mounting and layout
Switches, gateway, firewall, servers, recorder, and access controller placed in a layout that makes sense for airflow, weight, and reach — with room left to grow.
Labeling and documentation
Every port, panel, and drop labeled to a scheme. You get a rack elevation, a port map, and an as-built you can hand to anyone — including a different provider.
Cleanup and decommissioning
Old equipment removed, dead cable pulled, e-waste hauled off. The room leaves cleaner than we found it.

Labeled to a scheme, not to a Sharpie
A naming convention applied at the panel, the port, and the wall plate. Consistent across rooms and across sites.
Patch cables cut to length
Color-coded by function, routed through managers. Airflow works and you can trace a run by looking at it.
Physical security
Locking cabinet or a room with door access and a camera. Your network's weakest point is often a door anyone can open.
Room to grow
Rack units and port count sized past today. Adding four cameras shouldn't require rebuilding the rack.
UPS with tested runtime
Sized for real load, with battery replacement tracked and shutdown behavior configured — not assumed.
As-built you own
Rack elevation, port map, addressing, and credentials handed to you at close. No vendor lock-in by obscurity.
Not every room needs to be rebuilt.
Two very different projects get called the same thing, and the price difference is large.
A cleanup
Keeps your existing rack and equipment. We re-terminate what's worth keeping, add patch panels and management, replace patch cables, label everything, pull dead cable, and document what's there. One to two days for most single-room jobs, and it fixes the tax without a capital project.
A buildout
New rack, new power, new panels, and a planned layout — appropriate when you're moving, building out, adding meaningful load, or the room has an airflow or power problem a tidy-up won't solve.
We'll tell you which one you're looking at after we see the room. Quoting a buildout for a room that needs a cleanup is how vendors turn a small project into a capital project.
Six steps, one scheduled window.
Walk the room
On-site. We photograph and inventory what is there, count drops, check the electrical panel and circuits, measure the space, and look at airflow. No charge for the walk.
Design and scope
Rack elevation drawn before anything is ordered. Power and cooling requirements stated in writing. You get a fixed scope, a materials list, and a real number — plus anything that needs your electrician rather than us.
Stage off-site
Rack assembled, equipment configured, and firmware updated on our bench. The less that gets figured out in your closet, the shorter your downtime window.
Install
Rack set and anchored, PDUs and UPS in, panels mounted, drops terminated and tested, equipment mounted and cabled. Scheduled around your hours — most cutovers happen evenings or weekends.
Test and verify
Every drop tested and results recorded. Failover and UPS behavior verified by actually cutting power, not by reading a spec sheet. Airflow and temperature checked under load.
Handover
Rack elevation, port map, test results, addressing, and credentials delivered to you. Then a walkthrough at the rack so your staff know what is what.
Where this pays for itself.
Anyone moving or building out
The cheapest time to do this right is before the walls close and before the equipment is in the room.
Manufacturers
With equipment in dusty, hot, or vibration-heavy spaces that need an enclosure, not a shelf.
Clinics and professional offices
Where the server room is also the storage room and needs to be lockable and logged.
Multi-site organizations
Wanting one rack standard and one labeling scheme at every location, including the next one.

A previous provider, a previous employee, and no documentation of either.
Offices whose "server room" is a closet
Sometimes the right answer is a wall cabinet and moving the load to the cloud. We'll say that too.
Straight talk.
Electrical work goes to a licensed electrician. We install PDUs and UPS units and we'll spec exactly what's needed, but new circuits, panel work, and dedicated cooling get a licensed trade. We coordinate it; we don't pretend to do it.
A clean rack is not redundancy. Neat cabling doesn't survive a failed drive, a dead switch, or a flooded closet. If uptime is the goal, that's a hardware and backup conversation, not a racking one.
Some rooms shouldn't be server rooms. No amount of cable management fixes a closet with no airflow, a water heater, or a sprinkler head directly above the rack. We'd rather tell you that on the walk than after installation.
Cleanup means downtime. Re-terminating and re-cabling a live rack means things go offline. We schedule it after hours and stage what we can, but there is no version where nothing goes dark.
We won't rip out equipment that works. If your switch has three good years left, it stays and gets labeled. Replacement recommendations come with a reason and a lifecycle date, not a sales quota.

Common questions
How long does it take?
A single-room cleanup is usually one to two days. A full buildout with new rack, power, and panels typically runs three to five days on site, plus staging beforehand. Multi-site work is scheduled room by room.
What does it cost?
It depends on drop count, rack size, and whether power and cooling need work — which is why we walk the room before quoting. A wall-cabinet cleanup in a small office and a floor rack buildout for a plant are not the same project, and we won't pretend a phone estimate is a number.
Do we have to buy the equipment from you?
No. We'll spec it and you can buy it wherever you like. Buying through us means warranty and RMA handling goes through us too, which most clients prefer once something fails.
Can you work with our electrician and general contractor?
Yes, and we prefer to. On new construction we want to be in the conversation during rough-in, when adding a conduit run or a circuit is cheap.
Will we get documentation?
Yes — rack elevation, port map, cable test results, addressing, and credentials. Yours to keep, including if you later move to another provider or bring IT in-house.
Do you do cabling too?
Yes. Structured cabling, drops, and terminations are our own crew, not a subcontractor.
Do you serve our area?
Cache Valley, Box Elder County, the Wasatch Front, and southern Idaho — Logan, Hyde Park, Smithfield, Brigham City, Tremonton, Preston, and out from there, with travel available further out for the right project.
